About Erica

My passion for horses you could say was inherited from my mother, as I’ve had horses all my life, and was riding before I could walk. I was a member of the East Kent Pony Club, loving life on my pony Marylou, then followed by Mizar. Since my Pony Club days, I’ve taken time out from competitive riding, focusing my attention on rehabilitating a couple of ex-racehorses and then my osteopathy studies. I’ve always had a keen interest in the biomechanics and welfare of horses, and what better way to combine both than osteopathy!

I still ride, where I’m currently retraining an Irish Sports Horse called Joey, who I’m having to bring right back to basics to undo the previous poor training in his past. Eventually, I hope to do some British Eventing with Joey, however whatever we achieve together, he continues to teach me new things continuously. You can follow my journey with Joey on my Instagram account, along with informative posts.

Horses are my passion, I love how each day is different and I continue to learn and grow both as an osteopath but as a rider also. My profession has enabled me to combine my passion along with helping the well-being of horses, their riders and hounds also.

I studied in total for 5 years, graduating with a Masters degree in Osteopathy from the European School of Osteopathy, before completing a Post Graduate Certificate in Animal Osteopathy at the Osteopathic Centre for Animals, training under one of the worlds renowned animal osteopath’s, Stuart McGregor. This specialist training provided me with an in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology and biomechanics of humans and animals, allowing me to comprehensively assess for a more effective treatment.
